Reflections on John the Baptist

John the Baptist had the great honor of preparing the way for Jesus. Through his preaching and baptizing, people's hearts were ready for the coming of the Lamb of God. John's witness depended on prayer and revelation from God, culminating in the baptism of Jesus.
