Engage in Advent traditions such as creating an Advent wreath, an Advent calendar for daily activities and prayers, and displaying a creche at home. These practices help in spiritual preparation for the joyous Christmas celebration.
During Advent, observe Mass with the priest wearing violet or purple attire, except on Gaudete Sunday. Experience altered church aesthetics with a more modestly decorated altar and reflective hymnody. Embrace the special focus on the celebration of the Nativity of our Lord towards Christmas.
Attend the 'Hope for the Journey' service, formerly known as 'Blue Christmas', on December 14th at 3pm in OLV to find comfort and support during challenging times in the upcoming Christmas season.
This Sunday, we celebrate the Feast of Christ the King, affirming the sovereignty of Jesus amidst worldly challenges. Join us in honoring the most benevolent king of all, a servant king who brings peace and love to all.
