Volunteers Needed for the Funeral Ministry Team Volunteers in the Funeral Ministry provide an invaluable service, assisting before, during and after the Funeral Mass. Participation in this ministry is most rewarding, giving team members the opportunity to offer solace and support to the bereaved family and friends of the deceased, at a time when they are in need. Typically, funerals are scheduled for weekday mornings or occasionally a Saturday morning. Team members are contacted in advance and asked to respond with their availability. Usually 3 to 4 team members are assigned to assist. No previous experience is required - you will learn by doing.
