Each class, like a mini-retreat, dwells on one subject at a time based on Scripture using Ignatian Spirituality, such as in Year I, the healing of: repentance, forgiveness, guilt, judgement, burdens, surrender, death, memories, suffering (healing through it), affectivity, conflict, identity, pride/egotism, and aggression. Year II is about healing of loneliness, rebellion, relationship, unfaithfulness and lack of generosity, anxiety, authority and control and detachment; plus, healing of selfish love, anger, and hostility, self-righteousness, work, and gratitude. It ends with sessions on being in union and living with the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Classes for the 28 steps (with Scripture/audio self-study in between classes) above start Thursday, August 24th, from 7:00 - 9:00 pm, at St. Elizabeth of Hungary in Pflugerville, facilitated by Deacon Rod and Cindy Reyna. Email [email protected], if not already, if interested, even if you cannot attend Aug. 3rd info session. Or, for more info and to register/pay for SGIH online, go to mogpc.org and click Events. The 7 fall semester sessions plus Saturday retreat (and same schedule again in Spring) on 2nd and 4th Thursdays, 7:00 - 9:00 pm are in John XXIII Room in REC (day retreats in Youth Room). This is a 2-year program with manual, binder, and audio provided each year. Cost: $140 per semester. Scholarships and family discounts are available (50% off for spouse).
