








This weekend marks the First Sunday of Advent, signaling the start of a new liturgical year. We focus on the Gospel of Matthew in Year A. Parishioners will participate in lighting the Advent wreath candles before Mass. Welcome all visitors and returning parishioners. On December 17th, a special confessional event called 'THE LIGHT IS ON FOR YOU' will be held at St. Germaine Church from 6-9 PM. All are welcome to receive God's mercy through Confession.

An update on the Parish Assembly was shared, highlighting parishioner engagement. Additionally, the October mass count showed a slight decrease in attendance, but context was provided to understand the variation. Mass attendance continues to grow steadily.
Pat Barnett has been elected President of the Pittsburgh Regia of the Legion of Mary. We extend our congratulations and invite everyone to join in the celebration of this new role.
Our Lady of Hope Parish has two units of the Legion of Mary, or 'Praesidia.' Both units meet weekly to plan and pray for the week's spiritual works of mercy. All practicing Catholics are eligible and invited to become members. Consider joining this devoted group!
