Please pray for Sister Clara, one of our wonderful Catechistas Guadalupanas, who served at OLA as Director of Religious Education. It seems that she is in her final hours on earth. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace.

Dear Parishioners, We are excited to introduce the Elijah Chalice: A Chalice of Prayer for Priests, Deacons, and Religious Life, a new program designed to encourage prayer for vocations within our parish family. By participating in this initiative, you can actively respond to the Second Vatican Council's encouragement for the laity to foster and support vocations. The Elijah Chalice Program invites a different family or parishioner each week to bring the Elijah Chalice home, serving as a reminder to pray for those discerning their call to serve. Through daily prayers at home each parishioner or parish family will lift up those whom God may be calling to dedicate their lives to the Church. Starting this week, at the end of Mass, we will invite a parishioner or family forward at one of our masses to receive the box containing the Elijah chalice. The box will also include a brochure with the pictures and names of seminarians and a prayer card. The Elijah chalice will rotate across our mass schedules, keeping our entire parish united in this mission of prayer. For those interested in participating, we have a sign-up at the front of the church for those who promise to commit to a week of daily prayer. The chosen individuals or families will be called and invited to receive the Elijah Chalice to take home. This will be repeated through May 4, 2025. Thank you for being part of this meaningful journey in building a culture of vocations at Our Lady of the Angels!
