With Stephen Ministry, our congregation has a great opportunity to reach out to people who are hurting and minister to them during their times of need. To meet these needs, we need Stephen Ministers. We need people with gifts of caring, compassion, patience, faith, and listening, people who feel called to serve, who want to make a difference in people’s lives, and who want to be part of a life-transforming ministry. The bonds that are formed with the other Stephen Ministers during training do not end with the training. Monthly support continues. If the Holy Spirit is calling you to be part of Stephen Ministry, please contact the Parish Offices

The Immaculate Conception Garage Sale starts tomorrow. This Sale is open to everyone--families, bargain hunters, parishioners, or anyone passing through Celina. It will feature a variety of treasures--from toys, linens, and kitchenware to household goods, tools, décor, and more. New this year are handmade clothes for 18” dolls and a large collection of children’s books. Check out a few of the items for sale in the pictures below. The Garage Sale runs from Saturday through Tuesday at the Parish Activity center, across from the church. Stop by to enjoy a great shopping experience filled with community and fellowship!

This Sunday, we hear how Peter testified to a dangerous and unpopular truth — that Christ was the Messiah. That courage, that trust in God, is the cornerstone of all we believe. Like Peter, we must always bear witness to the truth. See you at Mass!

The Immaculate Conception Festival is just over a month away. The Festival Committee is in need of volunteers to help make the festival a success. It can't happen without you. There are opportunities in the gambling tent and food/drink tent on both Friday and Saturday. Don't hesitate to reach out, contact Brian at 937 417 9105 and let him know you want to help out. The kids tent is also looking for help on Friday; 5pm to 7pm & 7pm to 9pm and on Saturday; 4pm to 6pm & 6pm to 8pm. 9 workers are needed for each slot. This is a great opportunity for service hours. If interested, please reach out to Abby Gehle at 419 852 3016.

Stephen Minister Training is an enriching, enjoyable, spiritual experience, possibly unlike any other training you have participated in before. The purpose of the training is to equip each Stephen Minister with essential caring and relating skills to provide high-quality, one-to-one, Christian care to individuals who are hurting. Stephen Ministers will learn what to say and do and what not to say and do when people are struggling with a wide range of life difficulties. Most Stephen Ministers say that in addition to becoming better caregivers, everything they learn in Stephen Minister training has enhanced all their relationships with family, friends, coworkers, and others they meet in their everyday lives. To learn more about Stephen Ministry, please contact Parish Offices.

This Sunday at Mass, we hear how Jesus taught his disciples that the Holy Spirit will be sent to believers to teach them and remind them of his words. “Come, Holy Spirit!” See you at Mass!
