Support the St. Vincent de Paul Society's Giving Tree to provide gifts for nursing home residents and needy children. Take a tag, purchase a gift, and return it unwrapped by December 13-14 for the Christmas Eve party at the nursing home and toy distribution by the Gulfport Police Department.

St. Vincent de Paul is collecting donations until Nov 16 for Thanksgiving dinner baskets to help those in need. Needed items include stuffing mix, cranberry sauce, turkey gravy, and more. Cash donations can be dropped in the collection baskets on Sundays.

This weekend, the Church celebrates the Feast of the Dedication of the Lateran Basilica in Rome—the Pope’s cathedral and the “mother and head of all churches.” Though this feast honors a building, its deeper meaning points to something far more personal: we ourselves are the living temples of God.
In the Gospel, Jesus drives the money changers from the Temple, declaring, “Stop making my Father’s house a marketplace.” His zeal for the sacred challenges us to keep our hearts and our Church focused on God, not worldly distractions.
